sure

all

connections

are

made

with

both

your

VCR

and

additional

ap-

pliance

unplugged

from

the

mains

to

avoid

damaging

your

equipment.

Connecting

a

VCR

using

a

SCART

leads

is

one

of

the

best

ways

to

achieve

optimum

sound

and

picture

quality

from

video-tape

playback.

If

you

own

a

stereo

TV

you

will

be

able

to

enjoy

stereo

sound

when

playing

a

stereo

video

tape;

you

will

be

unable

to

enjoy

this

facility

if

you

connected

just

a

normal

aerial

lead.

INITIAL

PRESET

For

the

following

steps

we

do

assume

that

you

have

just

connected

recorder

for

very

first

case

the

video

recorder

on
