KARAOKE
Basic
Operation
You
can
sing
to
music
source
by
connecting
a
microphone
to
the
unit.
You
can
obtain
the
better
Karaoke
effect
viewing
the
caption
and
motion
on
television
(or
monitor)
with
the
VIDEO
CDs.
1.
Connect
your
microphone
to
the
MIC
1
or
MIC
2
socket.
You
can
connect
up
to
two
microphones
for
a
duet.
2.
Select
one
of
the
functions
to
select
the
source
to
be
mixed,
and
play
it.
3.
Adjust
the
VOLUME
and
tone
of
the
source.
4.
Adjust
the
MIC
volume
and
select
the
ECHO
volume.
To
ECHO
volume
control
Press
the
ECHO
button
so
that
ECHO-1,
ECHO-2
or
ECHO-3
is
displayed
in
the
display.
Press
the
button
repeatedly,
the
desired
letters
are
scrolled
in
the
display.
To
record
the
microphone
sound
mixing
with
a
source
sound.
Follow
the
procedure
of
recording
from
each
source.
When
not
using
the
microphone.
Set
the
MIC
volume
control
to
minimum
or
turn
off
the
MIC
and
remove
the
microphone
from
the
MIC
socket.
NOTES:
?
If
the
microphone
is
set
too
near
the
speaker
a
howling
sound
may
be
produced.
In
this
case
move
the
microphone
away
from
the
speaker
or
decrease
the
sound
level
by
using
the
MIC
volume
and
ECHO
button.
?
If
sound
through
the
microphone
is
extremely
loud
it
may
be
distorted.
In
this
case
turn
the
MIC
volume
toward
minimum
and
set
to
'ECHO
OFF'
the
ECHO
button.
Playing
Karaoke
with
CDs
You
can
play
karaoke(singing
along)
with
VIDEO
CDs(or
music
CDs).
1.
Connect
your
microphone
to
the
MIC
1
or
MIC
2
socket.
You
can
connect
up
to
two
microphones
for
a
duet.
2.
Select
the
CD
function.
3.
Press
the
CD
OPEN/CLOSE(CD
)
button
to
open
the
disc
compartment,
load
disc(s)
with
the
label
side
up.
4.
Press
the
FANFARE(SCORE)
button(on
the
remote
control)
to
select
the
karaoke
mode.
5.
Select
the
desired
track
number
on
the
disc with
PREV
or
NEXT
button
(or
turn
the
JOG
DIAL).
?
Select
the
desired
track
number
with
the
numeric
buttons,
and
the
play
starts
from
the
desired
track.
6.
Press
the
CD
PLAY(
)
button
to
start
play.
7.
Turn
the
MIC
volume
to
adjust
the
microphone
volume
and
select
the
Echo
volume.
8.
Sing
along
with
the
accompaniment.
9.
Comes
out
the
Fanfare
&
Score
If
the
track
play
back
is
finished
the
score
will
appear
on
the
screen,
and
if
you
take
the
score
70
points
and
over
the
fanfare
sound
comes
out.
And
the
unit
will
automatically
pause
after
playing
back
of
each
track.
10.Operate
the
KARAOKE
function
with
next
song,
Press
the
PREV
or
NEXT
button
again
(or
turn
the
JOG
DIAL).
Recording
with
the
KARAOKE
functions
You
can
record
while
using
these
functions.
Therefore
you
can
also
record
with
the
MULTIPLEX
and
KEY
CONTROL
effect.
Refer
to
the
"RECORDING"
explanation
section.
Key
Control
Function
(Operating
with
only
the
Fanfare
mode)
Press
the
KEY
CONTROL
(lower)
or
#(higher)
button
repeatedly
so
that
your
desired
key
level
is
displayed
on
the
screen.
?
You
can
operate
the
key
control
function
while
the
microphone
is
conneted
and
the
CD
function
is
selected.
Multiplex
Function
You
can
enjoy
Karaoke
to
mute
the
vocal
part
of
multi
audio(video)
discs.
The
accompaniment
is
output
through
both
speakers
in
KARAOKE
(1/L)
mode.
The
vocal
part
is
output
through
both
speakers
in
VOCAL
(2/R)
mode.
To
set
the
MULTIPLEX
function
Press
the
MPX
button
once
for
setting
the
KARAOKE
mode,
and
the
KARAOKE
(1/L)
indicator
appears
on
the
screen.
Then
play
the
source.
Press
the
MPX
button
again
for
setting
the
VOCAL
mode,
and
the
VOCAL
(2/R)
indicator
appears
on
the
screen.
To
cancel
the
MULTIPLEX
function.
Press
the
MPX
button
one
more
time
so
that
the
STEREO
indicator
appears
on
the
screen.
Usable
multi
audio
discs
for
the
MULTIPLEX
function
The
MULTIPLEX
function
works
appropriately
for
multi
audio
(video)
discs
which
have
the
vocal
part
on
the
right
channel
and
the
accompaniment
on
the
left
channel.
